Egg and Poultry Industry Conference to take place as live event this Autumn
Humphrey Feeds and Pullets, were delighted to hear the news that the Egg and Poultry Industry Conference (EPIC) is returning this autumn as a full live event, following the virtual event in 2021 and that to help young people from the industry attend there will be the opportunity to win two nights accomodation.
The conference is one of the premier events in the poultry sector and has been running for over 50 years. This year’s event will be the 55th and the theme is “Shaping the UK Poultry Industry of the Future”.
Taking place at the Celtic Manor Resort Hotel in Newport, South Wales over the 30th and 31st of October 2022, the event looks set to be very informative with many interesting speakers lined up over the two days. Speakers include Peter Kennedy, agriculture manager at Marks & Spencer and Professor Ian H Brown, head of virology at the Animal and Plant Health Agency. The deputy president of the National Farmers’ Union, Tom Bradshaw, will also address the conference.
Guests will also be treated to an after-dinner speech from Lord Michael Dobbs, the British politician and author, best known for his House of Cards trilogy.
The Young Guns session will also be returning this year, giving attendees the opportunity to hear from up-and-coming talent in the industry.
This year there is a new initiative to encourage more young people from the industry to attend the conference and will provide financial assistance to allow them to do so, including two nights accommodation. Details on how to apply for this, can be found here.
