Last week we attended the National Egg & Poultry Awards ceremony in London, where we had been shortlisted for the Pullet Rearer of the Year award. This was the third time in a row, that we had been nominated for the award, having won it in 2020 and 2019.
Whilst it wasn’t third time lucky for us, to be shortlisted once again gives great kudos to Humphrey Feeds and Pullets long history of rearing high quality pullets to order. Our pullet rearing is carried out on 11 sites, ranging in size from 30,000 to over 100,000 birds.
We attended the ceremony with our customer St Ewe Free Range Eggs, and we were delighted for them, as they were named winners of Innovation Of The Year award for their Super Eggs™ and mentioned us for the role our feed plays in the eggs!
The Super Eggs™ were chosen for Innovation Of The Year, as “an exciting new product that will add value to the category and inspire other poultry producers to enter the health, fitness and wellbeing sectors.”
The awards, backed by the British Egg Industry Council (BEIC) and the British Poultry Council (BPC), honour and reflect achievement, excellence and best practice in the sector, while also promoting the egg and poultry industry as a career choice and providing a networking opportunity for the sector.
